Bodega Bay Fishing Report Week of 11-25-25

Crab combo trips are running full throttle. Crabbing is good, and decent weather has allowed us to finally get real numbers of trips in for the first time this year. We’ve run for the past 7 days straight, with both boats running 1 or 2 trips per day. I’m just going to put yesterday’s trip since it’s pretty much been the same all week, with lingcod being the only variable. It’s been consistently good, steady action on the rockfish north of Ft Ross, and really good crabbing the deeper you get.

Bodega Bay Fish Report – 11/24/25

Capt Ryan- F/V Bigeye

As mentioned, we’ve been running steady for the past week, but it would be a pretty repetitive report. So I’m just doing yesterday as a breakdown of what the week’s been like. We left at the crack of dawn heading north, found lots of logs in the water but a decently flat ocean to run on. First thing, we found a wide open rockfish bite a little further to the north than we’ve been going lately, made quick work of the blues in 75 feet of water, then moved deep for a few reds, coppers, and canaries. After gathering up limits of rockfish, we then gave the lings a shot and quickly put limits on board, in about 60 to 90 feet of water, not wide open but steadily a fish every 10 minutes. We then started working on crab and found the best action of the year; we averaged about 7 keepers per hoop, also noting that the deeper we set hoops, the better the crabbing got. Josh ran today, had similar results with even better crabbing, and a bit slower ling action but still landing over a ling per person.
