Bodega Bay Fishing Report 8-8-24
On Thursday the 8th we fished in shallow with 6 folks and found a hot rockfish bite and filled the cooler 60 rockfish immediately casting into schools of jumping blues and blacks on the surface. We then switched over to lingcod and put 16 beautiful lingcod in the box before noon. Many double and triple hookups kept things crazy on the lingcod front. Weather was perfect and it couldn’t have been a better day to be out on the water. One of the best inshore days I’ve had in a long time!

Bodega Bay Fishing Report 8-10-24
The wide open lingcod action continues. We ran north and found a steady bite on blue rockfish and quickly picked up about half limits before switching over to lingcod. After a few drifts, we found a ledge with some hungry ones and picked up 8 good quality lings in one drift in 120 feet of water. The bite slowed down around 11am, so we switched back to rockfish in shallow in about 30 feet of water. We found a school of big hungry blues and worked on our limits while also hooking another 5 lings up to 17 lbs. The north wind picked up at 2 pm, and we made our way home with near limits of rockfish and 13 hefty lingcod for 6 clients. Great group of high energy folks and another Epic day.

Bodega Bay Fishing Report 8-19-24
We had some not so great weather and a slower bite but our private charter of 3 still managed to land a few jumbos to make up for it. We fished in about 40 feet of water and had a slower bite in the morning. Around noon the fish got hungry and we started getting a lot of lingcod action but the fish were not staying hooked well. We managed to land a few jumbo fish with a 8.5lb red, a 18lb ling and a 6lb black in the mix. We ended the day with limits of rockfish and a Ling per person.

Tuna Update
With a break in the wind on the long range forecast and the water within striking distance, we are hoping everything aligns for us to get out and chase tuna for the end of the month. Cross your fingers and expect to receive some emails if your on the tuna list within the next week.
