Bodega Bay Fishing Report Week of 4-06-25
First Report of the season with some good offshore lingcod action and striper action in the bay.
Bodega Bay Offshore Rockfish 4-5-25
On Saturday we headed offshore into a slight wind chop and quickly caught about 60 sand dabs and one giant petrale sole. We then shifted to the shallower grounds in our offshore area and found a slow but steady pick on lingcod and yellowtail rockfish. After a few hours we had 6 good quality lingcod and we decided to look a little deeper and finished out the rest of our rockfish limits with jumbo canaries that were willing to bit very well. A decent day but not Wide open fishing.

From Capt Josh
Finally back on the water for the first bay trip of the season we had a group of regular clients and proceeded to catch 9 bass and 1 Hali. We heard to the south was slow, so we started north. We released quite a few under sized fish in SPB and then by Quinton and Paradise. Eventually sticking one good halibut down south before it was time to go.

Bodega Bay Fishing Report 4-6-25
We headed west on a glassy calm sea and quickly made sandabs for bait. After fishing on the deeper side of the reef for rockfish we gathered quick limits of canaries and yellows then transitioned over to lingcod and found a steady but improved bite from the day before. With some effort we gathered a limit of 12 lings to 25lbs with a solid 12 to 15lb average and did a few drifts for petrale on the way home to find one lonesome biter. We has great weather all day and the fishing was plenty good enough to keep us busy all day and stuff out the fish box. Looks like we have some wind coming this week but fingers crossed we will be back out there soon.
